If you're anything like me, you've got a bunch of gear which uses 6.35mm (1/4") jacks which gets used alongside Eurorack gear, which generally uses 3.5mm jacks. Ergo, you may have noticed that 3.5mm jacks are a pretty crap fit in 6.35mm sockets. Also, if you're anything like me you'll hate using cable couplers because, by and large, they're crap and introduce noise into the system if you give them so much as a sideways look.
This module aims to solve a particular problem that I have, and you may have too.
This is an initial run which has both 6.35mm->3.5mm and 3.5mm->6.35mm converters - one of each, and suitable for use with TS (mono) cables; if there's demand I'll consider modules with a larger number of ins/outs.
Circuit-wise, it's nothing spectacular - just a buffer between each in/out pair - generally speaking, I don't need to increase the signal gain, and even if I do I have modules for that (however, if you do want a module with gain then let me know and chances are I can accommodate you.
4HP wide because it's quite tricky (read impossible) to make it any narrower, especially as the 6.35mm jacks require a 10mm hole in the faceplate and are around 16mm in diameter. Similarly, because the business end of 3.5mm jacks is somewhat longer than that of their 6.35mm counterparts you're going to need sufficient case depth as well - at least 30mm from the rear of the backplate; make sure that neither the cable tip or the contact strip touch the rear of your case.
The module name? An egregious pun.
