Shipping policy
Processing time
The time I need to prepare an order for dispatch varies - I only list modules which I actually have in stock, and they are cleaned and tested before shipping out. Depending on my workload this could be up to 3 working days.
I'm a one-man operation, so please be patient.
Actual delivery time is wildly variable - for domestic orders, figure on 2-3 working days unless the post office in your area is particularly efficient. Overseas deliveries usually take 5-7 working days but again this can vary a lot depending on customs etc.
If you feel that something is excessively delayed you should contact your local post carrier and/or customs officials in the first instance. I do not have access to additional tracking information - you see what I can see.
Shipping
I generally ship items on weekdays (Monday-Friday) - this is because my local post office isn't open weekends. I will aim to get any orders received on Fridays or over the weekend shipped the next working day (usually Monday, unless it's a bank holiday)
For UK orders, Tracked 48 is the default option - other services are available on request and at additional cost. I will use Royal Mail Special Delivery for high value orders (generally over £150)
International orders will be sent International Tracked and Signed if that service is available to the destination country. In cases where it isn't (eg. Canada and Australia) then I'll use International Tracked instead.
International orders
ROYAL MAIL ONLY TRACK ITEMS WITHIN THE UK - once your package has left the UK you'll need to track it using your national carrier. Note that you may be subject to additional import fees and duties - it is your responsibility to pay these.
Once your national carrier has your package in their system you should still be able to use your Royal Mail tracking number. This will be 13 characters long and end in 'GB' (eg. AB123456789GB). If your package appears to be in some kind of postal limbo then chances are it's going through customs clearance - whilst I supply all of the necessary customs info, delays are inevitable and out of my control.
I don't offer courier shipping by default as it's too damned expensive nowadays. If you really want something sending by courier, and are prepared to pay for it, then I shall endeavour to accomodate you. Generally, though, Royal Mail International is just as good and a hell of a sight cheaper.
Places I can't/won't ship to ...
I am unable to ship items to the EU/EEA/Northern Ireland because I cannot fulfil the compliance requirements for the GPSR (General Product Safety) regulations. These regulations also apply to Switzerland and Norway.
I will not ship items to Israel or the United States under any circumstances.
