The DV3 gets a makeover.

What with one thing and another, this is how future modules will be built - with Alpha pots and Davies clone knobs. Not only does the whole thing look a lot better, it's also rather more robust since the pots as well as the jacks hold the panel in place.

This is the third iteration of my 'Drumvelope' AR module - the main improvement being that it now comes with twice as many envelope generators. That is, two instead of one ...

If you want a nice, simple envelope generator aimed at use in percussion patches then this is it. Better still, you can also use it as a slew limiter if you're so inclined - bear in mind, however, that the response is exponential, rather than linear.

Attack and release values are independently controllable, and if you're unhappy with the default settings then you can easily alter them if you're handy with a soldering iron and are confident with surface mount components (change one capacitor per channel and you're done)

A NOTE REGARDING THE DV3.2 (new version): the circuit has had a few tweaks to improve noise immunity and performance. The inputs are now buffered using an op-amp rather than a transistor. For best results, the gate/trigger input should be positive-going only (ie. greater than zero volts) - the module will respond to negative voltage, but the results may not be quite what you expect.

If you're using an LFO as a master clock, you may find it beneficial to apply a DC offset to the input or output. The BIAS module is ideal for this.

As supplied, maximum attack and decay times are around 4-5sec (dependent on the tolerances of capacitors and pots) - this can be altered, subject to an additional customisation fee. Please contact me in the first instance.
