The DWS - Diode Wave Shaper (also known as "Does Weird Shit").
Someone, somewhere, compared it to the Lockhart wavefolder with rabies - not a bad description all things considered. The signal is passed through 8 diode stages (the levels of each stage governed by the 8 knobs at the bottom) with the slope and scale pots doing equally interesting things that I find rather hard to describe.
The net result is that if you put a sine or triangle wave through it then interesting things happen at the output. It needs a fairly strong input signal, though - each diode stage will chop 0.7V off the input so a bit of pre-amplification is definitely a good idea. The output stage has its own gain control so you're covered there.
Works well with VCOs, subject to the caveat above, and if you want a truly whacked-out modulation source then use it with an LFO instead. As noted, sine and triangle waveforms work best - you won't get a whole lot with square or sawtooth waveforms but don't let that stop you trying.
If you want instant gratification then this module probably isn't for you - it's an unruly beast and it's quite easy to send the output off into the ultrasonic or flatten it altogether depending on how the 8 stages are interacting with each other.
On the other hand, if you're prepared to spend a bit of time fiddling and twiddling then hopefully the results will be worth it.
It's not quite a one-of-a-kind, but if memory serves I only made a total of three.
