PCB model railway sleepers (for 9mm or 16.5mm track - fret of 10)

PCB sleepers are handy not only for baseboard edges, where they can be used to replace plastic sleepers in order to prevent your track ends getting mangled but they can also be used for track in fiddle yards where sleeper spacing isn't quite so important and 'regular' track may be overkill.

You could also use them if you wish to make your own 'plain' track, too.

Two variants are available: 

• One for 16.5mm gauge track (eg. OO, O-16.5) although the pads are wide enough to accomodate 18.2 and 18.83mm gauges as well. Scaled for 4mm, they can be used on O16.5 layouts in areas where appearance is not an issue.
  
  Each sleeper is 30.6 x 3.45 x 1.6mm, spaced 4.35mm apart
  
  
• One for 9mm gauge track -the sleepers are sized for OO9/HOe but could also be used for N-gauge track where appearance isn't too much of an issue. You might be able to get away with laying 12mm gauge track on these, but I can't guarantee it.
  
  Each sleeper is 15.25 x 3.45 x 1.6mm, spaced 4.35mm apart

The sleepers are provided in sets of 10 - they're held together via mousebites so you can either lay them as-is or break them off for use individually. The pads are lead-free HASL (hot-air surface levelling) which takes lead-free solder very well, and are electrically isolated from each other so no unsightly gaps are required either.

The PCB substrate is black, with silver pads, so if you're laying these in 'plain view' you'll find it beneficial to give the finished track a good going over with track colour or similar to weather it.
