Newsletters and the like ....

If you're reading this, then chances are you've just signed up for an email newsletter ... thank you for your support.

The eagle-eyed amongst you will have no doubt realised that I don''t really do social media any more ... there are a few reasons for this, including but not limited to: most social media sites being toxic hellholes (Facebook, The Site Formerly Known As Twitter), other sites being full of shitty 'influencers' and their faux-content (TikTok, Instagram etc.) but, more importantly, I am not convinced that social media platforms are a viable sales channel due to the huge number of scammers out there (also, Sturgeon's Law applies big time)

However, it also means that getting information out is a bit tricky ...

I intend to circumvent this by starting an email 'newsletter' of sorts - here's how it'll work:

• It's completely opt-in - you can unsubscribe at any time.
• I plan to use it to announce stuff like re-stocking information and details about new and forthcoming releases (yes, there are some - quite a few, in fact)
• I will only send out emails when there's something to announce - I imagine that this will happen a couple of times a month at most, barring force majeure.
• I will not be sending out 'needy girlfriend' emails (you know the ones, 'please rate your experience on our website' and that sort of rubbish)
• I will not release subscriber info to any third party - obviously Shopify will need your email address so they can actually send stuff out, but should anyone offer me beer tokens in exchange for email addresses they'll be told, in no uncertain terms, to do one (and besides, for all intents and purposes I'm teetotal ...)

That's it - trust me with your email address and I'll keep you up to date with stuff, plus it will also allow you to communicate with me should you become overwhelmed with a desire to do so.
