One of the questions that gets asked a lot by overseas (ie. non-UK) customers is 'how much additional tax/duty will I have to pay on my order?' - thanks to the wonders of B**xit, this questions is getting asked more and more. Now there's an answer ... sort of.
Generally, it's difficult to give even an estimate because of the number of variables involved - at very least you'll have to pay VAT/sales tax at the prevailing rate of wherever you are (for instance, UK VAT is 20% - sales taxes in the US vary by location) plus a varying tariffs and charges levied by your postal carrier, which I refer to as 'because we can' charges.
You can use the SimplyDuty website:
https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator/
to get a rough idea of what you might have to pay - just fill in the appropriate details and you'll get an approximate figure. This figure won't be exact (see 'because we can' charges, above) but it will at least give you a ballpark figure.
