Four independent sine wave oscillators, just like mother used to make.

The Wein Bridge oscillator is one of the simplest sine-wave oscillators and also one of the best - it's capable of producing a sine with a surprisingly low degree of harmonic distortion and was good enough that Bill Hewlett (of Hewlett and Packard fame) used it as the base for the HP200A audio oscillator in 1939(!).

Things have moved on a bit though, and instead of using a lightbulb to regulate the circuit I've used a couple of Zener diodes instead. Works just as well and doesn't get hot, either.

There are four discrete oscillators here with a total of 5 outputs - one output for each of the individual oscillators plus a 'mix' output which, oddly enough, contains a mix of all four oscillators. There are also gain controls for each of the individual oscillators and their mixed components - this gives you the ability to introduce clipping if you feel that way inclined.

Use the oscillators as a modulation source, the basis of some sweet, sweet drones or maybe a bit of both.

Each of the oscillators has a different pitch range, as follows (values are approximate, subject to component tolerances - pitch pots are 100k dual-gang linear by default):

OSC1: 32Hz -> 3.3kHz

OSC2: 16Hz -> 1.5kHz

OSC3: 6Hz -> 720Hz

OSC4: ~1Hz -> 150Hz

If you require the oscillators to be a different pitch range then I can accomodate this, but your order would be treated as a custom job and subject to additional charges.

What there isn't, out of the box, is voltage control - however, there are four test points on the back of the PCB (one per oscillator) so in theory it'd be possible to add an exponential current source (or sink) in order to get voltage control. I say 'in theory' because I've not actually tried this .... yet.

Works REALLY well with the Lockhart wavefolder or the DWS-4/DWS-8 diode waveshapers.
