GLIDE: 2HP glide/portamento buffer with illuminated fader
1 in stock.
A 2HP reimagining of one of my first ever modules - a glide/portamento buffer.
Due to the limitations of the 2HP form factor this is only a single channel unit, but it uses an illuminated fader to control the glide rate and the LED on the fader reflects the outgoing voltage*, which can lead to some interesting visual effects.
A typical use case would be applying some portamento to sequencer output, but it can also be used as a basic envelope generator on the understanding that both attack and decay times will be approximately equal. Finally, there's a switch on the rear of the board which allows the glide rate to be altered between 'long' and 'short'
Supplied with an FR4 panel, mounting hardware and power cable.
* - the LED in the fader has a forward voltage of around 2V, meaning that it will not illuminate if the incoming voltage is less than this, although the signal will still be slewed.
