CLOCK-LOGIC: CMOS logic module (4HP)
4 in stock.
This is an unashamedly digital module - it uses CMOS logic ICs to combine clock signals in interesting ways to generate polyrhythms and other general weirdness. That's not to say you can't use it for other things - Lunetta freaks will probably enjoy this one, since applying logical operations to audio-rate square wave signals can generate some interesting and unusual (as well as noisy) timbres.
The inputs (with yellow LEDs) are normalled together whilst the bottom output applies the 'inverse' logical operation to its input signals - for example, as supplied, the top two inputs will yield an XOR output, whilst the bottom two will be XNOR.
As supplied, the module is fitted with a CD4070 (quad XOR) logic IC - this tends to produce more 'interesting' results than other logic chips. However, should you wish to change things up a bit, a CD4001 (quad NOR) and a CD4093 (quad NAND Schmitt trigger) are also supplied - just swap the 4070 out with one of these and you're ready to go.
Supplied with mounting hardware and a power cable - the panel is 4HP wide. Be aware that this module is quite deep back-to-back - in order to accommodate the module and the power connector your case will need to be at least 50mm deep.
