Kits are, as their name might suggest, things that you build yourself. They come in two distinct flavours:
- Full kits are exactly what their name suggests - you'll get a PCB, a panel and any componentry required to complete the build; all you need to do is solder it all together - any surface-mount parts will be pre-soldered for you. For powered modules, a power cable is included.
Partial kits are ones where you need to do a bit of component sourcing yourself - generally, they will contain all of the components required to complete the build with the exception of pots and/or jacks. Again, if a module has surface-mount componentry, this will be pre-soldered.
It is assumed that by buying a kit, partial or otherwise, that you will have sufficient knowledge to follow a schematic and/or bill of materials (BOM) and perform any necessary assembly or testing.
Further details can be found in each listing.
