PMULT2: 3HP splittable passive mult (1x7 or 2x1x3)
5 in stock.
An updated version of the 2HP passive mult - it's a bit wider (3HP) but can be configured as either a 1x7 or a pair of 1x3 mults, depending on what you do with the solder jumpers on the rear of the board.
As supplied, the jumpers will be unbridged - in this state the module will act as a pair of independent 1x3 mults.
WHAT DOES IT DO? A mult (multiple) will duplicate a signal - whatever is presented at the input will be duplicated, unmodified, at each of the outputs. Thus, you can use it to send a signal to multiple modules simultaneously.
Mults can be active or passive - passive mults do not require any power, but there's a chance of a small voltage drop between the input and outputs. For this reason, if you're planning to route a control voltage to a VCO, or similar module which is sensitive to input voltages, an active mult is preferable.
